As well as the nursery we have a number of exotic and native animals on site, kept as part of conservation programmes, which we call The Shorelands Collection.
The Shorelands Collection encompasses all of our conservation interests covering our animal collection, House Sparrow Project and Red Squirrel Programme.The collection is managed on a voluntary basis, with surplus animals being sent on breeding loan or as donations to responsible institutions within the UK, Europe or worldwide as part of international breeding programmes.
The collection at the nursery includes Red Squirrels, Alpacas, Cranes, Storks, Ducks, Geese and Chickens. The collection is not open to the public as such but most days when you visit the nursery you should be able to see some of the animals from the Garden and Coffee Shop.
