We specailise in hardy, herbaceous perennials growing around 2000 different varieties. We grow around 85% of our stock ourselves which you can see in our display beds and garden. As the season progresses the nursery sales beds are constantly changing with plants being taken off as they finish and replaced by other species.
During March we only open our shade tunnels which contain early flowering plants and bulbs including Galanthus, Hellebores and Muscari.
April and May is when our Woodland Bed comes to life containing our various Anemone nemerosa, Polygonatum, Asarum, Trillium, Dodecatheon and Primula for sale.
June onwards the nursery changes with many of the early woodland and shade plants finishing and the summer perennials in full flower. We have a large selections of Astrantia, Sanguisorba, Geum, Geranium, Hemerocallis and Kniphofia.
The summer perennials then make space for some of the later flowering plants such as Echinacea, Helenium, Aster, Rudbeckia, and Tricyrtis.
Some of our varieties (especially thw woodland plants) we grow in very small numbers depending on our stock plants. If there is a particular variety you are looking for it is always worth contacting us beforehand for availability or when you visit if we grow it.
